Happy Wedding Wednesday! In this post, I would like to share all my favorite wedding day moments. These made my day so special!
My Mom Helping Me Get Ready
Throughout my wedding planning, my mom helped me so much and was so supportive. She is always there for me and I can rely on her for anything. I love these photos of my mom helping me get ready on my wedding day.

First Look with My Bridesmaids
It was so much fun hanging out with my bridesmaids in the morning. It was also so special when I did a first look with my bridesmaids. When I was dress shopping, I decided to keep my dress a surprise! I don’t really cry in public so I didn’t think I would cry on my wedding day. But doing the first look with my bridesmaids was the only time I got super emotional and cried on my wedding day! I was filled with so many emotions and getting into my dress for the first time with my hair and makeup done – I was just overwhelmed with joy. You can read more about bridal party details here!

First Look with My Dad
I loved having a first look with my dad. It was such a sweet moment and I loved that it gave us time to spend together before the ceremony.

First Look with Carl
I want to start by saying that when we first started wedding planning, I was so against doing a first look. I wanted to keep it traditional where Carl sees me for the first time walking down the aisle. But – as I was planning the timeline of my wedding day, I realized all the benefits of having a first look and I ended up changing my mind! And honestly – I’m so happy that we ended up doing it! I wrote an entire blog post about our first look here!

Ceremony and Reading Our Vows
I absolutely loved our ceremony! It was so magical and surreal walking down the aisle and being surrounded by our family and friends. Celia Milton was our officiant and she did such an amazing job. I loved that our ceremony was both lighthearted/funny and emotional. Carl and I wrote our vows and it meant so much to me that they were in our own words.

First Dance
Our wedding song was “Blessed” by Thomas Rhett. We fell in love with the words and it described our feelings perfectly – we feel so blessed that we have each other.
I knew I wanted some type of dance routine since I was never a fan of just slow dancing. Originally, we were going to learn a fun choreography for our first dance, where you dance to your song for a little and then play a more upbeat song to dance to. But then we decided to just make up our own dance to our wedding song! It was a lot of fun practicing everyday and coming up with our own routine.

Dance with my Dad
My dad and I have always had a fun relationship so I knew I wanted to choose a more upbeat song to dance to. He loves the Beatles so I chose “Here comes the sun.” We also practiced and came up with a little routine.

Speeches
I loved listening to the speeches at our wedding. My sister, who was the maid of honor, and Carl’s close friend, who was the best man, did a toast and they did such an amazing job! My godfather also did a blessing before we ate.

Cutting the Cake
It was so funny when we cut our wedding cake. Since I was smiling for photos, I got distracted and ended up cutting the smallest slice of cake haha. Carl kept making fun of me that I was cutting it wrong and we just kept cracking up!

Sparklers
I loved that we added sparklers to our wedding package! We just had it with the bridal party and close family and I loved how our photos came out. Usually, people do them at the very end of the night, but I wanted to be able to dance all night and not worry about taking more photos, so we actually did sparkler photos right before dinner to get it out of the way!

Dancing
After all the anxiety of the day was gone, it was time to party! It was so much fun dancing with family and friends.
