Every year in the fall, my family, Carl, and I take a trip to an orchard and go apple picking. It’s so much fun and a perfect activity to do with your family, friends or significant other. You can check out last year’s apple picking post here.
This year, we went to Melick’s Town Farm in Califon, New Jersey. When we got to the farm, we took a hayride to the apple orchard. We walked around and picked a bunch of different apples. We got a mix of green and red ones. Since it was a little warmer that day, there were so many bees! If you know me, you know I’m terrified of bees. Every time I picked an apple, I had to run away because bees kept flying towards me haha! So Carl and my dad picked most of the apples lol!
This farm makes their own hard cider, which is really cool so after apple picking, we tried some and it was pretty good! And of course we had to end the day with warm apple and pumpkin donuts and fresh apple cider. They were so yummy! These are one of my favorite fall desserts. Now I can’t wait to bake apple pie with all the apples we got once they are ripe. Clearly, I’m all about the desserts haha!
For my outfit, I wore this lightweight twist back top from Forever 21 that is only $28. The burgundy is no longer in stock, but they have the sweater in black and mustard. I love the twist detail in the back. The back strap also provides good support so it prevents the sweater from falling off your shoulders. It’s super comfy and a great casual sweater to add to your fall wardrobe.
