How to Transition from Winter to Spring

Happy First Day of Spring! I’m so happy it’s finally time for the season of warmer weather. However, sadly New Jersey is due for another snow storm -_- so we can’t put away our winter clothes just yet. But just because the weather is still cold, it doesn’t mean you have to give up all hope for rocking spring fashion. You can still incorporate spring into your wardrobe. I’m going to show you how to transition your look from winter to spring with a few tips and tricks.

There are lot of tips in bringing out spring in your look without being too cold for this time of year. If you are eager to bring out your spring dresses, you can pair them with over the knee boots and a cardigan or sweater. Sweaters look great over dresses or paired with cute fun skirts like how I wore it here. If you want to stick with pants, you can also complete your outfit with peep toe booties.

Thanks to the lovely snow storm that is coming, it is too cold to bring out my spring dresses and peep toe booties. So I will be incorporating spring into my wardrobe with pretty pastel colors. One of my favorite pastel color sweaters is this cropped lavender sweater from Forever 21. This is definitely the perfect color to wear for spring (even though I wear this sweater all year round as you can see here). I paired this sweater with my mom jeans from Forever 21 (similar here!) and Sam Edelman beige booties. This sweater would also look great over a pretty floral skirt or dress or high-waisted white jeans! I also wanted to add a pop of pattern to the outfit and I thought my leopard clutch from ASOS was perfect.

Since these are oldie but goodie pieces in my closet, the sweater, jeans, and booties are no longer available. However, I did link similar items, as well as the ASOS leopard clutch that’s only $24!

Hope everyone stays safe during the blizzard tomorrow!

  1. I love how you styled your spring look, it’s so fun and bubbly! I’m not going to lie, you’ll find me in a minimal, neutral-colored wardrobe year-round—the only thing that really changes is my footwear!

  2. Love that clutch! I’m not big on clutches because it’s a lot of work to carry one with my kid as well, but I wish I could rock one because they are so cute!

    1. Yea I understand. Clutches can be a pain sometimes. But there are some clutches that have a shoulder strap attached to it!
