Hi Everyone! Hope you had a nice weekend! I put up my Christmas tree and decorated my apartment for the holidays. I was so excited because this is the first time I’ve decorated for Christmas living in my apartment. I’m officially in the holiday mood so I thought it would be great to do a holiday themed post about my Christmas tree and a holiday gift guide with my gift recommendations!
My boyfriend and I got our Christmas tree from Walmart. We got a 6.5 feet flocked pre-lit tree for only $75! We didn’t want to spend more than $100 since we figured we would invest in a really nice tree when we get a house. But this tree is really great quality – I think it’s so pretty. It’s definitely a great deal. I love the way flocked trees look, but be warned because the white flocked stuff sheds like crazy! But it’s nothing that a vacuum can’t clean. My tree is no longer in stock, but here is one that is super similar for $108.97.
For the ornaments, I didn’t want to go with standard Christmas colors like red and green. I wanted something fun and different. I decided to go with the colors dark teal, lime green, and fuscia pink. The set comes with 41 ornaments for only $4.99. I love that the ornaments are a mix of sparkle and fun designs. I also got a set of slightly bigger ornaments with for a set of 16 in the same colors. Since we put the tree in the corner, we didn’t need to decorate the back so all these ornaments were able to fill up the front of the tree. If you are decorating the entire tree, I would definitely recommend getting another set of ornaments.
For the Christmas Tree topper, I found a clip on bird ornament that is dark teal and has feathers made of sequins in dark teal and fuscia pink. I was lucky to find a tree topper in the same color as the ornaments. This ornament was $3.
